DGC is a dream come true for members of the Carhart-Walker family. The matriarch of the family – Gail Carhart Walker – supported her children, Wendy, Michelle, Corey and Alyx and granddaughter, Kylin, during their competitive gymnastics years and is now joining with her children to start their very own Dynamite gym.

Beyond competing, Michelle was the first to begin teaching gymnastics, which she started at the age of 14 under her coach Kelli Hill. When she moved to a new gym in the early 1990s, Michelle convinced her mother to join her as office manager and picked her brother Corey to help her coach the upper-level Women’s Artistic team. Soon after, her sister Wendy began coaching several levels of the women’s artistic team, her other sister Alyx joined her mother to coach the Tumbling & Trampoline Team (TNT), and her daughter Kylin began teaching classes.
