Every Montgomery County parent knows the feeling: you glance at the school calendar in October and realize there's a Monday and Tuesday off in two weeks, and you have meetings both days.
MCPS has more than fifteen no-school days in 2026–27 that aren't holidays most workplaces observe. Here's the full list in one place, plus how our School's Out camps line up with them.
First day of school: Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Last day: Friday, June 11, 2027 (later if weather days get used).

Always double-check against the official MCPS calendar — conditional days shift if the county uses weather closures.
On most MCPS closure days, we run camp at the gym: full day 9:00am–4:00pm ($130) or half day 9am–12pm or 1–4pm ($85) — structured rotations through bars, beam, trampoline, floor, tumble track, and the foam pit, plus group games, challenges, and arts and crafts between sessions.
It's the same formula as our summer camp, compressed into a single day — enough structure that kids aren't just turned loose, enough play that they're genuinely excited to go.
Campers ages 3.5 and up, grouped by age and experience. No gymnastics experience is required, and plenty of School's Out campers have never taken a class with us — it's a low-commitment way to try the gym for the first time.
Single days are easy to cover. The stretches that fill fastest are the ones where families need multiple consecutive days — November 2–3, the winter break camp days (December 28–31), and spring break. If you already know you need those, book as soon as they open.
See current dates and register on our camps page, or contact us if you're not sure which days are open. Dynamite Gymnastics Center is at 4956 Boiling Brook Pkwy in North Bethesda, MD — about ten minutes from Rockville, Bethesda, Kensington, and Chevy Chase.
