MAKEUPS

At Dynamite, we understand that life happens. For this reason, we offer makeup tokens as a courtesy for missed classes. Please note that tuition secures a spot in a class and does not pay for a specific number of classes. Tokens can only be redeemed when we have a space available in a class.

 

To create more spaces and maximize makeup options for everyone, we require that families report absences via the customer portal at least 48 hours in advance (the system counts down to the minute) to provide adequate notice to other families; however, the more notice, the better! Makeup tokens expire when class enrollment ends and have no monetary value. 

 

Tokens can be used for classes, camp, open gyms, and events at Dynamite, Bolt Parkour, The Agility Center, or Dynamite2.

REPORT YOUR CLASS ABSENCES

 

Class absences must be reported via the customer portal AT LEAST 48 HOURS (to the minute) prior to the start time of class; this provides time for other families to use the slot for a makeup class. If you no longer plan to miss the class, please send us an email to make sure there is still room to attend.

In the case of a last-minute emergency, parents must submit a future absence notification via the customer portal prior to the start time of class including an explanation in the notes field, and follow up with an email to hello@dynamitegc.com asking for a request. Emergency requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Tokens will not be granted for any requests made after the start time of class. 

Scheduling a Makeup Class 

Provide at least 24 hours to request a makeup class via the customer portal. If we do not schedule your makeup class in time, send us an email to return your token to your account. 
 

  1. Log in to the customer portal

  2. Click on MY ACCOUNT

  3. Click on MAKEUPS 

  4. Choose a Makeup Date

  5. Click on ADD TO CART

  6. Proceed to checkout

  7. Click on COMPLETE TRANSACTION

  8. Wait for an email confirmation (we do not allow makeups in classes where students are not registered or will not be there that day)

Go On Hold

Dynamite allows students to switch from active enrollment in a class to HOLD status for $25/mo. While the student will lose his/her spot in class and will not longer accumulate makeups, makeups can be redeemed while on HOLD. 

Makeup Token Rules

  1. Makeups accumulate and may be redeemed while the student is enrolled; any makeups remaining once enrollment ends will be forfeited. Students may transfer to Hold ($25/mo) to keep tokens.

  2. Class absences must be reported via the customer portal AT LEAST 48 HOURS prior to the start time of class.

  3. 48 hours' notice is required to reschedule trial classes or cancel makeup classes. 

  4. Students MUST be enrolled or on Hold when redeeming tokens. Parents are responsible for reimbursing the trial rate or regular cost of open gyms, events or camp days for any makeups used while not enrolled. 

  5. Makeup tokens are NOT available for preteam or team athletes.

  6. Abuse of our liberal makeup policy may result in makeup tokens no longer being granted and reimbursement for wrongly accumulated or redeemed makeups.

Trade In Values

Camp Makeups

Makeup tokens may be used for "School's Out" camp during the academic year or weekly summer camp through the last week in July. Makeup tokens may NOT be used for partial camp days. For example, if your camper wants to attend for the full day, 7 makeup tokens are required to cover the entire cost of the full-day camp day. If you only have 4 makeups, you may sign your child up for half day, but not full day.

HALF DAY = 4 MAKEUP TOKENS

FULL-DAY = 7 MAKEUP TOKENS

Partial makeup redemption (using some makeups and paying the balance) is not permitted unless designated (summer camp).
