TUMBLING 

(at Bolt Parkour, next door to Dynamite)

Ages: 6 - adults | 60-minute classes: $165/month 

 

Tumbling is a multi-disciplinary foundational sport that is being increasingly incorporated into cheer, dance, Crossfit and yoga. Starting with rolls, handstands and bridges, students follow progressions as they evolve from cartwheels to round-offs, from walkovers to handsprings, and from rolls to flips.

Bolt hosts our Tumbling classes because, unlike Dynamite, it has an unsprung area of carpet-bonded foam, which is perfect for learning "dead mat" tumbling techniques for dance and high school cheer. The gym also has a spring floor and air floor, necessary for developing rebounding techniques, required for gymnastics and all-star cheer.

Students ages 6 - 17 can join our Tumbling program. Unlike Gymfusion, Gymnastics, and Trampoline & Tumbling (TNT) students, who work on tumbling as one of several 10 = 15 minute rotations, Tumbling students have sufficient time to build body alignment, develop skill-specific strength and flexibility, practice drills and progressions, and master skills through corrections and repetition.

Tumbling is also one of the three events in TNT, so students interested in eventually competing can aspire to join Dynamite's power tumbling team.
